 BTS: K-pop megastars attracts over 100 million fans to the online concert

    More than 100 million BTS fans had an online concert by K-pop boys on Saturday, holding signage and sharing messages in chat rooms.

The map, titled The Soul ON E, is an actual event that came after a seven-member group abandoned their initial plans to hold a live show for a limited audience in line with the Korean government's line. Tighten. The band has already canceled a planned world tour.

    As many as 114 million fans watched the concert, fueled by the success of Dynamic, STS's first single, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 last month.

Singer V or Kim Tae-Hyung told fans, "You are not here, but I feel like you are here as if I could hear your screams, and later be here together."

Since their 2013 debut, BTS has spearheaded a global K-Pop craze with catchy, upbeat music and dances, as well as lyrics and social campaigns aimed at empowering young people.


As the band performed, the background wall of the small screen showed thousands of fans from all over the world waving light sticks, known as "army bombs." The chat room is open to allow fans to post comments simultaneously.

In Seoul, a small group gathered at a cafe organized by ATT fans to watch a concert together, albeit wearing masks and keeping a distance.

"Their songs provide comfort in these difficult times and make me a fan," said An Jiwoo with tears in her eyes as she watched the show.

“They sing to say everything will be OK and to cheer up, which I think is why all fans around the world love them.”
