Facebook is testing bringing video and voice call functionality back to its original Facebook app.

Many years ago, Facebook developed Messenger and made it a separate application for users to communicate as a messenger, as well as make video or voice calls. After releasing Messenger for years, Facebook is now testing to bring video and voice calling back to its original Facebook app.

According to a statement from Facebook, they are currently testing to bring the video call and voice call functions to the original application, which means that they are testing these functions. On Facebook itself, not just in Messenger. Further details revealed by Bloomberg show that at this time only a limited number of users in designated areas, such as the United States, have received the above-tested features, and those who have been tested confirm that they can work. Video and voice calls in both Facebook and Messenger.

However, it is not yet clear what the integration of the above functions into the Facebook application itself, as no user has yet taken a screenshot.

According to Connor Hayes, Facebook Messenger Product Management Director, Facebook is currently looking at Messenger as a service, not as a separate product. Incorporate the video and voice call function into the Facebook application itself to eliminate the switching between Facebook and Messenger to use that function, and also to allow users to use the Facebook application in general.
