Galaxy Z Fold3 screen may be damaged if used with a regular S Pen

The Galaxy Z Fold3, which was officially announced recently, has become Samsung's first flip-screen smartphone that can be used with the S Pen. This is also thanks to the new generation of UTG screen protectors, which are up to 80% more durable. However, this does not mean that the Galaxy Z Fold3 is compatible with all S Pen models.

In fact, according to YouTuber Marques Brownlee, also known as MKBHD, the Galaxy Z Fold3 is only compatible with the S Pen Fold Edition and S Pen Pro. Please note that before using the S Pen Pro with the Galaxy Z Fold3, be sure to push the button on the S Pen Pro to the Z Fold function. Coming back to our topic, this means that if you use a regular S Pen with the Galaxy Z Fold3, it may scratch or damage the Galaxy Z Fold3 screen.

In case you do not know and try to use a normal S Pen with the Galaxy Z Fold3, a message will pop up on the screen of the Galaxy Z Fold3 to alert you. The reason you can not use a regular S Pen with the Galaxy Z Fold3 is that the tip of the regular S Pen is harder than the tip of the S Pen Fold Edition and S Pen Pro. Not only that, the operating system of the S Pen Fold Edition and S Pen Pro is not the same as the regular S Pen.
