 Pixel 5a has been confirmed to have overheating issues while recording 4K @ 60FPS video

    The Google Pixel 5a, which was officially announced last week, looks easy to heat up when shooting 4K @ 60FPS video, according to TechOdyssey, a Pixel 5a smartphone reviewer. Android Police also confirmed that the Pixel 5a has a problem with overheating when shooting 4K @ 60FPS video.


Through his Twitter account, TechOdyssey said he tested 4K @ 60FPS video on the Pixel 5a in an air-conditioned area, but within minutes it was overheating. The Android Police team said that after testing the 4K @ 60FPS video on the Pixel 5a for about 11 minutes, they noticed that it was very hot, but no message popped up. On the phone screen to warn them to stop recording video or turn off the machine for a while to let the phone cool down.


Interestingly, after the Android Police team decided to stop recording videos on their own and recharge the Pixel 5a and re-enter its Camera app, they suddenly saw a message stating that the device was too hot. Please turn off the camera until the device cools down. We do not know for sure if this is due to a hardware or software issue, so stay tuned.
